The Seattle Great Wheel, at Pier 57 on the downtown waterfront, is one of the largest Ferris wheels in the country. It opened in 2012, and is 175 feet tall. The world's tallest Ferris wheel, in Dubai, is 820 feet high. The tallest Ferris wheel in the United States, in Las Vegas, is 550 feet high.
