The Rocky Mountains are a large mountain range, located in the western United States and Canada. They go through the states of New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana. The tallest peaks in the Rockies, most of them more than 14,000 feet high, are in Colorado.
