Mount St. Helens

Mount St. Helens is a volcanic mountain in the Cascades of Washington, southwest of Mount Rainier. Its eruption in 1980 was the most deadly and damaging volcanic eruption in U.S. history. In the eruption, its elevation was reduced from 9,677 feet to 8,363 feet.
