Spider-Man is a superhero who first appeared in a Marvel comic book in 1962. The original Spider-Man was a high school student named Peter Parker. He got his superhuman spider powers after being bitten by a radioactive spider. There have been many versions of Spider-Man in comics, books, movies, TV shows, and plays.
