A ferry is a boat that carries passengers, and sometimes vehicles, across a body of water. Washington state has the largest ferry system in the U.S., with 10 routes and 20 terminals. From Colman Dock in downtown Seattle, there are ferries to Bainbridge Island and Bremerton. From Anacortes, there are ferries to Lopez, San Juan, Orcas, and Shaw islands.
