World's Fairs are large events that are held every few years, somewhere in the world. Many countries have exhibits at world's fairs, which usually last for several months. Seattle has had two world's fairs - the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition, on the campus of the University of Washington in 1909, and the Century 21 Exposition, at Seattle Center in 1962, when the Monorail and the Space Needle opened.
