Mount Whitney (elevation 14,505 feet), in the Sierra Nevada of California, is the tallest mountain in the United States, outside of Alaska. John, Candi, and Candi's dad climbed up and down Mount Whitney in one day - a 21-mile round trip -  which is not a healthy thing to do.
